I am very pleased to have a piece about my first Christmas Bird Count up as a guest post at Birds and Words.

Julia Zarankin calls herself  “a somewhat birder and writer” —  she excels at both — and I am honored to have a piece on her blog. My piece was inspire by her piece about her first Baillie Bird-a-thon. To me the bird-a-thon is like the Christmas bird count on steroids and I wanted to start with “bird-a-thon light”. Her piece was published in Maisonneuve.
